MAST 2.0. Mutual Aid Self/Social Therapy
MAST is a decentralized project with partners helping in Los Angeles and Houston. This political project uses the principles of mutual aid and a growing open-source collective of techniques to help overcome emotional difficulties, buffer against the psychological effects of trauma and burnout through strengthening community ties, and create more internal and external avenues for emotional support that are both structured and accessible. Mutual Aid Self/Social Therapy is conducted in triads made up of narrators (those being counseled) and supporters (those doing the counseling), providing peer support in a learning community. It involves no expert or specialist, hierarchy, static roles, or dependent relationships, but instead demystifies and democratizes of the tools of the psychological disciplines that have traditionally been kept behind the gates of the academy and puts them in the hands of the people to be used to help themselves and others. MAST highlights the importance of co-creation of process, community standar
ds, & accountability of practices and centers the values of transparency, mutual aid, and autonomy.
MAST is entirely free and open-source, with active support communities to help new groups get started and a drive full of resources that include pre-made lessons in both Powerpoint and zine format to host groups online and in person as well as templates for people to make their own and contribute to the project. There are currently MAST groups running in multiple cities in the US, including Houston, Minneapolis, and Los Angeles.

Conjuros Contra la Procreación is a fanzine that brings together experiences, poetry, drawings, advice, recipes, reflections and criticisms about abortion from the anarchic practice.
The compas that make up Marea Negra have been accompanying abortions for several years, and we see in the fanzine the opportunity to put on the table for discussion other trenches for abortion (beyond the Marea Verde and the State), and a strategy to finance a fund of mife, miso and everything necessary to self-manage abortion.

Malentonadx somos individualidades afines que, desde la necesidad de
organizarnos, surgió a partir del contexto de encierro que atraviesan
Tiara y Brandy; amigxs y compañerxs antiautoritarios. En este camino
vemos importante nombrar y visibilizar un sin fin de violencias que
atraviesan las personas privadas de su libertad.
Presentamos el fanzine «Narrativas desde el encierro». Escrito por
compañerxs que sobreviven el encierro tras las rejas, también participan
individualidades que acompañan procesos de familiares o compañerxs en
prisión.
El ejercicio de la palabra – en este caso la palabra escrita- viene a
partir de muchos matices, en particular para comunicarse con el interior
y con el exterior.
Algunas de las herramientas que ha ocupado el sistema penitenciario
(desde la reforma a la prisión) han sido la despersonalización y el
aislamiento como medidas intrínsecas del castigo. Herramientas que
cumplen con un doble objetivo: control que pretende ser absoluto sobre
lxs presxs y comodidad a las sociedades sobre no saber nada de lo que
ocurre dentro de estas, pretendiendo así una falsa seguridad social.
Externar estos escritos tiene que ver con darle el justo espacio y
respeto al trabajo de resistencia que lxs compañerxs han impulsado.
Asimismo, buscamos romper los muros del silencio hacia lxs que estamos
en la calle.

La revista «Turquesa» es coordinada por la compañera Tiara Tempestad,
secuestrada por el Estado mexicano desde agosto del 2020. En ella se
compilan escritos y dibujos realizados colaborativamente por mujeres
privadas de su libertad en el penal de Santa Martha Acatitla. Dejamos

Presentation of Turquesa Transcending Walls Magazine
The magazine «Turquesa» is coordinated by comrade Tiara Tempestad,
kidnapped by the Mexican State since August 2020. It is a compilation of writings and drawings

UNA TRADICIÓN DE TRANSGRESIÓN
Aunque la oposición a las fronteras es parte del movimiento anarquista
en todas partes del mundo, este encuentro es una oportunidad excepcional
para juntarse con anarquistas de ambos lados de la frontera
estadounidense-mexicana en una experiencia común.
Entre 1910 y 1912, la campaña Magonista propulsaba la revolución por
liberar tales municipios como Ensenada, Tijuana, y Tecate del estado, de
la iglesia, y del capital. Docenas de anarquistas y Wobblies desde el
otro lado cruzaron la frontera para armarse y respaldar esa lucha. En
Coahuila, derogaron la constitución y declararon el comunism anarquista.
Unos años después, Emma Goldman y Alexander Berkman organizaron apoyo
para Ricardo Flores Magón cuando ya estaba en exilio en California,
perseguido por los contrarrevolucionarios que se ganaron la Revolución
Mexicana.
En los 1990s, la federación anarquista norteamericana Amor y Rabia tuvo
una sección en Ciudad de México, la cual editaba un periódico bajo el
mismo nombre y organizaba actividades anarcopunk. La federación atrajo
unos centenares de integrantes y tuvo un papel crucial en revitalizar el
anarquismo norteamericano al final del siglo XX.
En 2007, anarquistas y otros activistas anti-fronterizxs levantaron un
Campamento Sin Fronteras en una sección de la frontera sin muro entre
Mexicali y Calexico—dos ciudades que constituyen un solo metrópoli
dividido en dos por el muro. Bajo las farolas militares de la migra,
compañerxs de ambos lados de la frontera compartían comida, veían
películas y charlas, se reunían a pensar en acciones, e hicieron
amistades fuertes.
Quizás el ultimo evento comparable con lo que sucederá en Tijuana en
Enero fue Las Jornadas Informales Anárquicas en Ciudad de México en
Diciembre 2013. Compañerxs desde tan lejos como Italia, Grecia, Chile, y
también de los EEUU y México asistieron. Expusieron Wolfi Landstreicher,
Gustavo Rodriguez, y Alfredo Bonanno.
Por mas de un siglo, anarquistas han desafiado la frontera entre los
EEUU y México, en busca de horizontes de libertad. El Encuentro
Internacional de Prácticas Anarquícas y Antiautoritarias es una
oportunidad para forjar las conexiones de solidaridad internacional.
Nosotrxs estaremos para compartir cuentos y enseñar las imágenes que los
canales del poder quieren ocultar.

International Gathering of Anarchist and Anti-Authoritarian Practices
Against Borders on January 25-27, 2024 in Tijuana, Mexico.
On January 26 and 27, the CrimethInc. Ex-Worker Podcast will present a
curated series of anarchist films from around the world. In addition to
showing our own published shorts and debuting some new material, we will
curate a series of anarchist features, dramas, video propaganda,
oddities, and experiments.

We will give priority to films whose producer or participants can attend

# A Tradition of Transgression
While anarchists around the world oppose and resist borders, this is a
rare opportunity to join with anarchists on both sides of the US-Mexico
border to comprise a single movement.
From 1910-1912, anarchists crossed into northern Mexico to join forces
with the Magonistas in their military campaign to liberate towns like
Ensenada, Tijuana, and Tecate from the state, clergy, and capital.
Dozens of anarchists and Wobblies took up arms in this struggle. In
Coahuila, they did away with the constitution and declared
anarcho-communism. Several years later, Emma Goldman and Alexander
Berkman organized legal support for Ricardo Flores Magón when he was in
exile in California, persecuted by the counter-revolutionary victors of
the Mexican Revolution.
In the 1990s, the anarchist federation Love & Rage included a Mexico
City section, *Amor Y Rabia,* which published a newspaper of the same
name and organized a variety of anarcho-punk activities. The federation
attracted a few hundred members and played a crucial role in
revitalizing anarchism in North America at the end of the 20th century.
In 2007, anarchists and other anti-border activists established a
week-long No Borders Camp at an unwalled portion of the US-Mexico border
between Mexicali and Calexico. These two cities essentially comprise a
single metropolis divided in two by the wall. Under the blinding
floodlights of US Border Patrol, anarchists on both sides of the border
served each other food, watched presentations and movies, planned
actions, and forged lifelong friendships.
Perhaps the last event comparable to the upcoming International
Gathering of Anarchist and Anti-Authoritarian Practices Against Borders
was the Jornadas Informales Anárquicas in Mexico City in December 2013,
which drew anti-authoritarian comrades from Italy, Greece, and Chile as
well as the United States and Mexico. The speakers included Wolfi
Landstreicher, Gustavo Rodriguez, and Alfredo Bonanno.
For over a century, anarchists have sought horizons of liberation in
defiance of the US-Mexico border. The International Gathering of
Anarchist and Anti-Authoritarian Practices against Borders is a chance
to kindle the flames that forge connections of international solidarity.
We’ll be there to tell stories and show the scenes
that corporate media seeks to conceal.

Conversatorio: Atrapados en la Red: Liberándonos del Encierro Digital
La mayoría de nosotrxs recordará cuando empezaron a aparecer torres de
telefonía móvil y las compañías tecnológicas intentaron que parecieran
árboles. Apenas diez años después, han abandonado incluso este patético
esfuerzo por enmascarar la expansión del tecno-mundo, ya que la sociedad
se ha acustombrado a acceptar e incluso dar la bienvenida a cada nueva
inovación tecnológica que se nos pasan. Incluso cuando un gadget no
consigue capturar a los consumidorxs (¿recuerdan las Google Glass?) las
tecnologías detrás del producto (la realidad aumentada, IA, etc.)
encuentran uso en el ejército y la indústria, lo que permite a los
techies hacer avanzar su producto al tiempo que moldean la aceptación
social mediante una combinación de propaganda y coerción (hola Apple
Vision).
En los círculos anarquicos de EEUU, las críticas al papel que desempeña
la tecnología en nuestras relaciones y luchas han pasado de moda; la
presencia de los smartphones y el uso de las redes sociales en los
espacios de lucha se da en gran medida por sentado. La inmensa
violencia, muerte, y devastación de la tierra que se requiere para traer
teléfonos y compus a nuestras manos se ha normalizado de forma grotesca,
al tiempo que se ha erosionado nuestra capacidad para cuestionar
nuestra propia dependencia y apego a estas tecnologías.
Esta presentación analizará el proceso de avanze tecnológico y cómo
funciona a nivel individual, relacional, y social, y el impacto que esto
tiene en las luchas contra la dominación. En particular, nos enfocaremos
en las tecnologías utilizadas para construir fronteras y vigilar a lxs
que no tienen papeles, vinculando esto a las formas en que las
tecnologías ocupan nuestras propias vidas y luchas así como los peligros
que plantea a nuestras redes en términos de seguridad. Después,
tendremos una discusión en grupo en la que intentaremos salir de las
limitaciones artificiales que nos impiden poner este mundo en cuestión.

Caught in the Net: Breaking Free from the Digital Enclosure
Most of us will remember when cell towers first started popping up and
tech companies tried to make them look like trees. Only ten or so years
later, they’ve abandoned even this pathetic effort to mask the expansion
of the techno-world, as society has become accustomed to accepting and
even welcoming each new technological innovation that is handed to us.
Even when one gadget fails to capture consumers (remember Google Glass?)
the technologies behind the product (augmented reality, AI, etc.) find
use in the military and industry, allowing techies to advance their
product while simultaneously molding social acceptance through a
combination of propaganda and coercion (hello Apple Vision).
In anarchist circles in the US, critiques of the role that technology
plays in our relationships and struggles have fallen out of style; the
presence of phones and use of social media in spaces of struggle is
largely taken for granted. The immense violence, death, and devastation
to the earth that is required to bring phones and computers into our
hands has become grotesquely normalized as our ability to interrogate
our own dependency on and attachment to these technologies has eroded.
This presentation will look at the process of technological advancement
and how it functions on the individual, relational, and societal levels,
and the impact this has on struggles against domination. In particular,
we will focus on the technologies used to construct borders and surveil
non-citizens, tying this to the ways that these technologies occupy our
own lives and struggles as well as the dangers it poses to our networks
in terms of security. After, we’ll have a group discussion in which we
will
attempt to break out of the artificial constraints that prevent us from
putting this world into question.

Los recursos reunidos en las actividades van dirigidos a apoyar procesos de encierro de compañerxs respecto a resolver gastos económicos que genera la prisión política.

Guitarras Libertarias arises in 2016 with the need to link collectivities and individualities from different territories through kontrakultura, from horizontality, spreading the anti-prison struggle, summoning troubadours from different territories, exercising keyuwün (mutual support), self-management and solidarity with anarkist prisoners from the territory usurped by the Chilean state.
The resources gathered in the activities are directed to support processes of confinement of comrades in order to solve economic expenses generated by political imprisonment.
